BECAUSE FURNITURE CAN FEEL LIKE POETRY
Magnolia in Bloom
This chest has a soft, quiet charm – calm and understated, but full of personality. However, it didn’t always look this way.
When it first arrived, it felt heavy. Dark. A little forgotten. I sanded it back carefully, working through the layers until the grain could breathe again. Then came a soft lilac wash, just enough to let the wood show through. Cream tones on the sides brought in some lightness, and the magnolia details on the drawers – applied by hand – unfolded like petals in bloom.
Now it feels settled. Still. But very much alive. It doesn’t demand attention, but it gently changes the room around it.
This is vintage furniture reimagined – renewed with care, and ready for a new chapter.
Fill it with whatever you like – everyday bits, memories, or nothing at all. It will hold its place beautifully, either way.
And if something about it stayed with you… maybe that’s where it’s meant to be..
