Some pieces don’t stand out right away. They sit quietly — full of character, but easy to overlook. That was the case with this dresser. It had charm, no doubt, but something about it felt… stuck in the past.

Its owner didn’t want a complete change. Just a gentle shift — something that would feel more like her now. So, we began to imagine. Together.

We discussed colour, texture, and balance. The wood was softly sanded, and we chose a muted white to bring out its Castilian curves without drowning them. Inside the drawers, we added decoupage with soft florals — not loud, just enough to surprise.

This wasn’t about making it new. It was about making it feel right. Personal. The piece is now fully renovated, but still carries its past with pride.

That’s the beauty of a commission: it becomes something shared — a quiet story, told in layers.
