This dresser came to life through a commission — a collaborative process with a lovely client who had a clear vision: something simple, bright, and filled with softness. She wanted a piece that would feel at home in a calm space, with gentle charm and just enough detail to catch the eye.
The original dresser was plain and well-used. Nothing fancy. But there was something about its proportions that felt right — sturdy, honest, quietly waiting.
We chose a pure white tone for the base and added soft lavender to the lower drawers, like a small whisper of colour. She loved the farmhouse style, so we kept things natural, unfussy. The handles were replaced with textured ones that added interest without overpowering the look.
Now it sits proudly in her home — not loud, but a Blickfang. It holds space beautifully, bringing balance to the room.
That’s what I love most about commission work: creating pieces that speak, not just decorate.
If something similar is living in your imagination, maybe we should talk.
